DOVE É DI SCENA LA NATURA
Quattordici comuni allineati lungo i 60 km che disegnano il corso del torrente Maira, piú quasi 200 grappoli di microborgate sparpagliate
nei valloni laterali, splendidi e solitari. In tutto, 20.000 abitanti, ma raccolti per lo più nelle piccole città - Busca, Dronero, Roccabruna, Villar S.Costanzo - mentre nel resto della vaíle vivono meno di 2000 persone.
Sono queste le cifre che raccontano un angolo di montagna intatto e autentico, dove davvero é di scena la Natura. Natura di grandi spazi: un mare di verde - pascoli, castagni, e poi larici, faggi, abeti ... - spettacolari montagne, aquile, camosci, marmotte, e curiosità uniche, come i "Ciciu" di Villar. La valle più segreta nel Cuneese, dove l'uomo vive da sempre in un equilibrio con l'ambiente altrove perduto.

WHERE NATURE IS ON STAGE
Fourteen municipalities lying along the 60-km course of the Maira River plus nearly 200 clusters of minute hamlets scattered throughout the splendid isolated side valleys. A population of some 20,000 inhabitants in all, most of whom live in the small towns - Busca, Dronero, Roccabruna, Villar S.Costanzo - whereas less than 2000 inhabitants live in the rest of the valley.
These are the figures that describe a corner of the mountains which is still intact and genuine, where nature is really at the centre of the stage. Nature in the form of wide spaces: a sea of green-pastures, chestnut woods, followed by larches, beech trees and pines... - spectacular mountains, eagles, chamois, marmots and unique features like the "Ciciu" of Villar.
The most secret valley in the area around Cuneo where man has always lived in equilibrium with the environment, a balance that has been lost elsewhere.
